Equipment and Material Driver

Job Title: Equipment and Material Driver     Business Unit/Department: Prefabrication                                       Franklin, TN/ On-site    Warehouse Manager               The Equipment and Materials Driver is responsible for safely transporting electrical materials to and from warehouse, suppliers, and job locations.      Safely perform and direct the loading and unloading of trucks   Transport electrical materials in a safe, responsible manner   Perform daily vehicle inspections and communicate any problems and standard maintenance with your vehicle   Understand and complete the log book   Submit monthly vehicle reports to fleet   Perform additional ad hoc responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to various office and warehouse/yard projects       Have at least six months experience driving/transporting materials   Have experience pulling trailers   Be at least 21 years of age with a High School diploma or GED   Have a clean Motor Vehicle Record         Exercise independent judgment and be motivated to grow and develop professionally   Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and customer service skills             Outside most of the time.   Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures   Limited working surfaces   Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors   Exposure to areas with limited visibility   Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)   Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks   If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
