Electrical Apprentice Loenbro West                                          Douglas, WY  Foreman, Superintendent The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Licensed Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work. The Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks. Complete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts. Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems. Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. 2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred. Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes. Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals  Must be willing to embrace the company’s core values. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Must be 18 years of age or older. Outside most of the time. Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures. Limited working surfaces. Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. Exposure to areas with limited visibility. Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights). Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks. If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability are required.
