Description
The Mining Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical crews on active surface and underground mining projects. This role provides leadership for maintenance, construction, commissioning, shutdowns, and repairs involving substations, MCCs, conveyors, crushers, pumps, process facilities, and power distribution systems. Lead Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians while maintaining safe and productive operations. Supervise electrical maintenance, construction, commissioning, outages, and shutdown activities. Plan labor, equipment, materials, and daily work schedules. Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, NEC requirements, and site safety standards. Conduct safety meetings, JHAs, audits, and LOTO verification activities. Coordinate work with operations, maintenance, project management, and customers. Provide advanced troubleshooting support for mining electrical systems. Mentor and develop field personnel while monitoring quality and productivity. Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and manpower tracking. Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent experience where applicable. 7+ years of industrial, mining, or heavy commercial electrical experience. Previous Foreman, Lead Electrician, or supervisory experience. Knowledge of substations, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, transformers, conveyors, crushers, pumps, and process equipment. Working knowledge of NEC requirements and MSHA regulations. Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Physical Demands & Work Environment Active mining, industrial, and construction environments. Outdoor work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and dust. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around heavy equipment. Use of required PPE and compliance with Loenbro EH&S policies and MSHA requirements.
