Desktop Support Technician

Location- Chicago, IL - Hybrid

Pay rate: $33/hr

Duration- 6Months + contract

Our client is  a global financial services firm that provides asset management, investment banking, and capital markets advisory services.

Essential Job Functions

Provide technical support for users of desktop hardware and software, including those in remote locations.

Troubleshoot application issues, such as malware, hard disk failures, and file corruption.

Support remote access technologies, including VPN, Citrix, and other secure connectivity solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve printers, copiers, and related device interfaces.

Ensure timely and accurate updates, documentation, and closure of support tickets.

Responsible for hardware and software inventory management

Coordinate with external technology vendors

Participate in overtime, weekend, and on-call work as required to maintain service levels.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Strong technical knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365.

Experience within Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and related Microsoft services.

Support video conferencing (VC) equipment and platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams

Experience supporting mobile devices.

Deliver white glove support to VIP and executive users, ensuring high-quality resolutions.

Excellent customer services skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Team player attitude.

Self-starter – able to work with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing desktops, laptops, and printers.
