Job ID: 20158 Benefits Offering Health & Dental Benefits Employee Assistance Program Employer RRSP match Competitive Time Off Policy Compensation $110,000 - $130,000 per year Position Summary The QA/QC Manager serves as the primary contact for all quality related items and issues associated with the project and plans, performs directs and supervises all quality functions. Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties Develop Quality Management Systems (QMS) for project, including quality management plans(s) and procedures Maintain and ensure effective implementation of the QMS Guide the project through effective implementation of quality management plan(s) and procedures Review contracts for appropriate QA/QC program requirements Review other quality related plans and implement quality procedures Identify quality trends and issues to management Report status of quality issues to management for routine progress and project status reports Monitor contractor quality assurance and quality control programs Coordinate resolution of quality issues Conduct quality audits internally, on suppliers and specialist subcontractors, and ensure that audit recommendations are implemented Document inspection results by completion of reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality database Approve incoming materials by confirmation of specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; reject and return unacceptable materials Approve in-process production by confirmation of specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to production supervisor Approve finished products by confirmation of specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; return products for rework; confirm rework Interface with Client(s) Quality management personnel to resolve quality issues Represent LKCNT on quality issues at meetings Provide training of personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures and specific responsibilities. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or a combined total of not less than four years of college level education, training, and/or technical experience of such nature and extent that, taken in conjunction with any private study, evidences a good understanding of quality management requirements and practices, and their application and us on construction projects Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a quality management position Railroad/transit/construction work experience preferred with related certifications and training Quality Management Systems Certification preferred Ability to read/reference electrical construction specifications and plans Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills and ability to communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint Strong team orientation, ability to build collaborative relationships with all project personnel Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines Works in an office environment Frequently sits for long periods of time Frequently speaks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending Company Overview This job description is not intended to represent a complete, comprehensive list of all duties and responsibilities that may be required in this position.
