A Snapshot of Your Day As a Field Service Technician, you will be a key member of our on-site service team, responsible for executing inspections and maintenance during planned and unplanned outages at customer power plants. This role is procedure and process-driven, requiring a strong focus on safety and quality while working on combustion turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment. The position involves significant travel (up to 75%) primarily within North America, and requires flexibility to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays in physically demanding conditions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and a background in industries involving rotating equipment, such as power generation, aviation, or industrial maintenance. How You’ll Make an Impact Apply specialized inspection systems, utilize precision measurement tools, and interpret technical blueprints to diagnose and address equipment issues Collaborating effectively with a diverse and changing workforce, including contract labor, to complete complex work scopes efficiently and in accordance with company standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and a background in industries involving rotating equipment, such as power generation, aviation, or industrial maintenance. physically capable of heavy lifting, working in confined spaces, and operating at heights. What You Bring High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience in a related industry (e.g., power generation, aviation maintenance, industrial rotating equipment) Vocational training or an Associate's Degree in a technical field is preferred OSHA 10 Certification NCCER Basic Rigger Forklift Operator Certification Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Skills Rotating Equipment Maintenance (Turbines, Compressors) Blueprint Reading & Interpretation Precision Measuring Instruments Heavy Equipment Operation (Forklift, Manlift) Process Adherence & Workflow Management Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) Standards Quality Control & Inspection Procedures About the Team Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
