Reading and writing proficiently, following directions both oral and written, communicate effectively, take notice of any and all warning labels and signs, work within confined spaces at times. Ability to climb and perform tasks at varied heights. Great attention to detail will be needed in order to read and interpret drawings, pictures or sketches in order to plan, compare, adjust, gather necessary resources and build accurately to certain specifications provided or required by measurable standards. For anyone operating a Partner Industrial vehicle, a current and valid Driver’s License must be provided along with a road test to obtain a Partner Industrial Driving Certification. Respiratory or skin exposure to saw dust, coal dust, concrete dust and various chemicals that are used or manufactured throughout the jobsite may occur. This includes, but is not limited to, other various hazards such as dust, splinters, airborne particles, sharp edges of wood or metal and extreme weather and climates due to the nature of this job. Review drawings, blueprints, pictures and sketches in order to plan, compare, adjust and gather necessary resources and build accurately to certain specifications provided or required by measurable standards. Correctly choose specified type of wood or other materials along with correct tools needed to prepare, plan, mark, measure, assemble, verify, adjust and construct each assembly. Constructing to desired fit and specifications the following: structural framework; laying sub flooring, hardware, parquet and wood strip block floors; building stairs, partitions, cabinets and concrete pouring chutes; installing framed windows, doors and door frames, weather stripping, trim for interior and exterior applications, door and cabinet hardware essential for locking; apply shock absorbing, sound muffling and decorative paneling to ceiling and walls. Use of the following tools/materials: rule, measuring tape, framing square, calipers, pencil, chalk, marking gauge, saw, chisel, planes, nails, dowel pins, glue, drill, plumb bob, carpenter’s level, mastic, asphalt, concrete or cement, etc. Safely lift and carry up to 90 pounds. Respirator or mask needs to be worn, as directed by Supervisor or as needed in certain conditions. Supervisor will direct if any additional tasks are needed. Complying with all safety regulations and procedures applicable to a chemical plant environment is an absolute must. Attending work regularly and timely as well as being flexible to work varied shifts and/or overtime as needed.
