Description

Loenbro is seeking a Project Manager for our Structural/Mechanical Division. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of our structural and mechanical projects, from initial scope to final completion, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and meet quality standards. This role involves managing budgets, timelines, and milestones, coordinating with various teams, and acting as the primary client contact.   Supervisory Responsibilities:   The Project Manager is fundamentally accountable for supervising structural and mechanical projects and directing all assigned resources. This includes overseeing subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams comprising superintendents, engineers, and coordinators. The Project Manager guides the project team, delegates tasks, ensures adherence to safety and quality standards, and validates that work is completed on schedule and within budget.   Responsibilities:   Project Planning & Coordination:   Coordinate directly with Pre-Construction Department and define project objectives. Develop detailed project schedules and key milestones for structural steel erection, mechanical systems installation, and equipment setting. Present project cost and schedule updates to executive management monthly. Assist in budgeting, bidding, and awarding subcontracts for fabrication, installation, and commissioning work.   Safety & Quality Leadership:   Coordinate with Safety Department to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, with emphasis on steel erection safety, crane operations, and mechanical system protocols. Work with QA/QC to define inspection and testing requirements for structural connections, welds, and mechanical systems. Ensure all as-built documentation meets industry standards and client requirements.   Resource & Materials Management:   Monitor and coordinate resources through Project Superintendent. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure all structural and mechanical materials including steel members, piping, valves, and equipment are available on site. Manage material quantities and track installation progress against project specifications.   Stakeholder Communication:   Serve as primary client contact and identify all project stakeholders including engineers, fabricators, and equipment vendors. Clearly communicate expectations during construction handoff meetings and weekly scheduling meetings. Develop and deliver progress billing documentation and follow up on invoice payments.   Risk Management & Compliance:   Assess risks related to structural integrity, equipment installation, and system integration. Manage and execute change orders when needed. Conduct project reviews at completion and ensure all warranty requirements and closeout procedures are met.   Team Leadership:   Participate in hiring hourly staff and create a highly motivated team environment. Conduct pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor. Utilize project management systems for tracking schedule and monitoring performance across multiple work fronts.   Knowledge and Skills:   Possesses strong understanding of structural and mechanical systems including steel erection, piping, and equipment installation   Ability to read and understand structural steel drawings, mechanical P&IDs, and equipment layout plans   Knowledge of industry standards including AISC, AWS, and ASME codes   Understanding of fabrication processes, erection sequencing, and mechanical system commissioning   Excellent verbal and written communication skills   Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills   Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail   Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines   Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills   Ability to function well in a high-paced environment   Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and creating Gantt charts   Valid driver license required   Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management preferred   At least five years of structural/mechanical project management experience required             Potential visits to outdoor industrial sites with exposure to weather extremes.     Travel requirements: up to 10% of time.   This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.       Loenbro offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and rewards to those who join our team:             Employee assistance program (EAP)   Benefits eligibility may vary based on employment classification and hours worked.     Core Values (LEAD) , Loenbro    If you’re ready to be part of a company that                  Loenbro is an Equal Opportunity Employer
